How to Dress for a Senior Session: Guys and Girls

Hey seniors and senior families! Are you wondering what you need to wear for your session, look no further. When picking out clothes you should choose colors and patterns that are flattering to you. Don’t know what those clothes are, just base what you choose on the outfits you wear most often, and that you feel confident in. Figuring out colors that are flattering to your hair and skin tone can be a daunting task, but all you have to do is a simple google search. What that would look like for me is, “what clothing colors compliment pale skin and red/brown hair?”. After searching go to the images, more times than not there will be a color pallet full of colors for you to base your outfits off of. If the session is outside, base your outfits on the season and current weather— don’t wear a short sleeved shirt and shorts outside in 40° weather. By the time you arrive at your session you should have all of your outfits complete with any undergarments, props, shoes, etc. needed. Talk with us before hand about props because we can provide a few signs and a set of a cap and gown.

Below are outfit examples to assist you in your decisions.

  • Hobby: do you knit your own scarfs, paint/draw, build Lego’s, etc.? Dress how you would for that hobby so we can show off your talent.
